Privacy Policy
Effective November 1, 2026
The Morning Lab ("we," "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information when you visit our WAKE website, submit shipping details, request availability updates or contact us.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide may include your first and last name, email address, shipping address and optional phone number. When you click Checkout, we also record the date and time, selected flavor, number of jars, purchase option, displayed price, availability outcome and the version of the privacy notice shown to you. These records show purchase interest and do not mean an order or subscription was created.
If you make a privacy request, we collect your email address, request type and any message you provide. We do not request credit card details or other payment credentials through this form. Please do not send government identifiers, health records or payment information through our forms.
Our hosting, security, authentication and font-delivery providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, access times and service logs. We use short-lived, hashed network identifiers to limit abuse; we do not add raw IP addresses to the checkout spreadsheet.
When you join the lab newsletter, we collect your email address, signup time, consent notice version and signup source in a separate newsletter list. When you contact us, we collect your email address, question or message and submission time in a separate contact list. We store these lists in restricted-access records and separate Excel workbooks.
2. How we use information
- Record the products and options you are interested in and assess demand and shipping regions.
- Email you about availability or stock you have requested.
- Send product news and marketing emails when you choose to join the lab newsletter.
- Respond to questions, support needs and privacy requests.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website, prevent misuse and maintain necessary business records.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.
Your phone number is optional. Providing it does not enroll you in promotional text messages or authorize automated marketing calls. Availability emails are related to your request. Newsletter emails are based on your signup. You may ask us to stop either type at any time using the form below. Submitting a contact question does not add you to the newsletter.
3. When information is saved
We save the details and product selections you submit when you click Checkout. We use a hosted database and a restricted-access Excel workbook to manage these records. If inventory is unavailable, no order is placed and no payment is taken, but your submitted details remain on our availability list unless you ask us to remove them.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information to service providers that help us host and secure the website, store records, manage access and deliver the services you request. Our current website infrastructure uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare; font files may be delivered by Google Fonts. Service providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy practices.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell customer contact lists or publish your shipping or contact information. Unless advertising measurement is disabled by your saved choice or browser privacy signal, we disclose limited website activity and device/network information to Meta for ad measurement and attribution. Meta may use this information under its own privacy practices, including across services. You can turn off this measurement using Privacy choices.
5. Cookies, analytics and privacy signals
We store your cart’s selected flavors, quantities and purchase options in this browser for up to seven days so they remain available when you return. This cart storage does not contain your contact or shipping details. You can remove items in the cart or clear your browser’s site data.
Our hosting and authentication providers may use essential cookies or similar technologies for access, security and basic functionality. We load the Meta Pixel on public pages, unless you have opted out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, to measure ad performance, page visits, product selection, the opening of our shipping form, completed availability requests, newsletter signups and contact submissions. For this no-payment demand test, a completed availability request is sent to Meta as a Purchase event with a zero monetary value and parameters identifying it as purchase intent without payment. This records completion of the test flow; it does not mean a paid purchase or order took place. Meta may receive your IP address, browser/device information, page URL and advertising/cookie identifiers. Our event parameters exclude your name, email, phone, address, message text and health information. We disable automatic event configuration and do not supply form entries for advanced matching. No server-side Conversions API connection is currently active.
Meta advertising measurement is enabled by default on our public landing and contact pages, without an entry prompt. An earlier opt-out saved in this browser remains in effect. Turning off measurement does not prevent use of the website or its forms. Use Privacy choices in the footer, or the button below, to change your selection. Withdrawal stops future event sending and attempts to remove our Meta first-party cookies; it does not remove information already received by Meta. A browser Global Privacy Control signal overrides an advertising opt-in and disables Meta measurement. Other Do Not Track signals do not change site behavior. We do not load advertising measurement on the owner admin or privacy-request pages. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for Meta’s practices and controls.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described here, including the availability notification service, support requests and applicable recordkeeping obligations. We assess retention based on whether information remains needed, your relationship with us, your requests and legal requirements. We then delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted access to checkout records and exports. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion, a copy of information you provided, or removal from availability emails. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights, including rights to opt out of certain processing or appeal a decision. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Submit a request using the form below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling it and may retain information where an applicable exception or legal obligation allows or requires us to do so. We respond within the time required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request and may be asked for evidence of authorization.
8. Children and international processing
This website and availability notification service are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please use the form below so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
We operate from the United States. Information may be stored or processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, which may have different privacy laws from your location.
9. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. We will post the updated policy and effective date here and provide additional notice when required by law.
10. Contact and privacy requests
Contact The Morning Lab through this privacy request form. Use the email address associated with your request so we can follow up and verify it. Please include only the information needed to explain your request.
